What's Left?

Hi Friends! We spoke with our USCIS officer via phone yesterday and she told us she had approved our i600. This is good news! It still has to make it to Korea in order for us to be called for travel. From USCIS it goes to the National Visa Center. The folks there log the i600 into their system and then log it out. After that it is electronically submitted to the U.S. embassy in Seoul. In Seoul the Korean paperwork and the American paperwork meet. This is called the P3. The embassy submits a request to Holt Korea for all of Noel's documents. Holt Korea then submits her P3 back to the embassy. After that, the embassy schedules her Visa Interview. The foster mom physically takes her to the the U.S. embassy to have her picture made for her one-way Visa into the United States. Then comes the TRAVEL CALL. As of right now the earliest predicted travel call would be around the 15th or 16th of May. This is based on other people's timelines and is only a prediction. (Only our Father in heaven knows the exact time we will meet our Noel...)It could be as long as a week to 10 days after that...but the point is..WE ARE ABOUT TO GET ON A PLANE! Things around here are very busy with the end of school for the kids, dance recital, and baseball. I guess it is a good thing that we are busy so we don't have too much time to ponder these last days...although every milisecond of down time I have is spent wondering...
when will we go?
what will she be like?
what will the kids think?
do we have everything ready?
will she recognize us from the pictures we have sent?
does her foster mom speak English?
where does she sleep, in a bed, on a mat?
does she sleep?
will I ever sleep again??
You get the point...my mind is racing...Please pray for us to enjoy these last few days as a family of 5, that God would prepare our hearts, the kids hearts, and Noel's heart for her homecoming. Stay tuned!
(p.s. see the adoption timeline for a list of steps remaining)
